“Non-” / “Un-” Jassi like

September 29, 2006 · 4 Comments

My usual self – driven towards an act/thought – I think over it – observe – conclude -implement . This is a cycle.

Over the last few months I have endorsed a thinking (who better than Sudhanshu can know this), rooted in me quite often. I leave the door to my room open while I go to the washroom – X and his funny/weird doing on mspaint – I read Rohit’s blog, the post on Steve Jobs – Kate Beckinsale & Serendipity – I ponder – I undo X’s art – It lasts for 150 minutes – I get back to being Jas.

I do retrospect and it feels good. At times I experiment and thus the “first time”- “Non-” / “Un-” Jassi like list gets longer.

Am I getting weird :-? – credit it to the final year..

Playlist: Immortal- Evanescence, Khoon Chala – RDB,  Naina – Omkara, Tere Bin – Atif Aslam ..

There are no answers

How at times I wish for an utopian world??

Its 2.30 A.M. Im generally asleep. For a change I am awake and happen to compose a post for there are thoughts flowing through my mind. I want to make a note of them, coz its not the first time. I do not have any answers, neither do I expect to find any in my lifetime but I wish to remind myself  of this ugly fact. They are pouring in a weird manner and I wish to present them true to their character.

I believe in Karma.

I grade people on their ability to think. I firmly believe and do so rightly that if there is something that distinguishes one individual from the other its their approach and process of thinking. This defines our aura.

I am of the opinion that respect for an individual is what makes one look at another. This should be invariant of age, education, wealth and many more materialistic factors.

One needs to retain their ability to think when it comes to believing in others. Blindly  following some belief or prejudice could spell doom. What are we educated for?

An old adage: What cannot be cured had to be endured…Im not sure if I buy this. Till date for every such situation, I have not compromised. This might not be easy in the years to come. I have learnt to fight. I do believe in making things happen and leave nothing to chance. Though I do look for the line that can connect dots.

Peers, colleagues at place of work, society we live in, siblings, acquaintances or being more generic, relationships we share with people; expecting an utopian world is foolishness.

How I wish if only I could make a difference and help things fall in place…and I know the probability tends to zilch.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S

I am into watching the sitcom for the eighth time. Six great friends and I want to make six more,

I know six honest serving-men,
They taught me all I knew,
Their names are What and Why and When,
And How and Where and Who.

–Rudyard Kipling

Coz of the fear of getting addicted again I refrained from watching Naruto, Smallville, Desperate Housewives and many others. But my loyality to FRIENDS got me to watching Joey and Aunt Robin aka Cobie Smulders had me glued to How I met your mother. Can’t wait for the next season to start.

Tere dil mein meri saanson ka panha mil jaaye,
Tere ishq mein meri jaan fanaa ho jaaye..

I do have my share of mood swings :)

Cleaning disk space to download more movies can be a tough task, I realizied that today…ended up seeing five movies in fast forward mode-Hyd blues I, The last casino, Fanaa, Almost famous and Omkara(either the second time or more) to decide which movie to delete.

Kehte hain pyaar mein neend ud jaati hai,
koi humse bhi mohabbat karle,
kambakt neend bahut aati hai.

The dep has made me really lazy..a time table with classes starting at 10 or 11, how on planet earth do you expect me to get up before 9 (Damn, the breakfast is served till 9).

I deleted Remember the Titans, making space for Lage raho Munnabhai…its worth spending two hrs watching Circuit and Prof Murli Prasad Sharma.
